carbaboranes
A class of boron compound of general formula [(CH)a(BH)mHb]c where c can be positive, negative or zero. The CH groups occupy polyhedron vertices, and other hydrogen atoms are either bridging or terminal.
Note:
The contraction 'carboranes' is also well established as the generic name for this class of compound.
