Conditional (formal) potential, $Math - text$ ,is related to the potential of a cell reaction, $Math - text$ , by an equation analogous to that relating $Math - text$ to the standard potential $Math - text$ , with the activity, $Math - text$ , replaced by any composition variable, $Math - text$ (to be indicated by a subscript).
