A CW pulsed @L03459@ emitting radiation from excited Nd3+ principally occurring around \(1.06\ \unicode[Times]{x3BC}\text{m}\) (the precise position depends on the matrix). The Nd3+ is present as a @DT07203@ in suitable crystals (e.g. yttrium–aluminium garnet, YAG) or in suitable glasses (phosphate, silicate, etc.).
