A @C00840@ product of high-boiling hydrocarbon fractions obtained in petroleum processing (heavy residues). It is the general term for all special petroleum @C01142@ products such as @G02697@, calcined and @N04095-1@ petroleum @N04095-2@.
Note:
High-boiling hydrocarbon fractions (heavy residues) used as feedstock for petroleum @C01142@ are residues from distillation (atmospheric pressure, vacuum) or @C01387@ (e.g. thermal, catalytic, steam-based) processes. The nature of feedstock has a decisive influence on the graphitizability of the @C00774@.
