stripping ratio
in solvent extraction
Notes:
-
This term is usually defined as the inverse ratio to the distribution ratio, i.e. in aqueous-organic systems the aqueous phase concentration of solute is the numerator and the organic phase concentration is the denominator. Their usage should be clearly defined.
-
The term stripping coefficient is not recommended.
