bulk mesophase

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.B00754
A continuous anisotropic phase formed by coalescence of @M03849@ spheres. Bulk @M03849@ retains @F02450@ and is deformable in the temperature range up to about \(770\ \text{K}\), and transforms into @G02697@ by further loss of hydrogen or low-molecular-@W06668@ species. This bulk @M03849@ can sometimes be formed directly from the @I03353@ @P04677@ without observation of intermediate spheres.
