## activation energy (Arrhenius activation energy)

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.A00102
An empirical parameter characterizing the exponential temperature dependence of the @R05137@, $$k$$, $$E_{a} = R\, T^{2}\frac{\text{d(ln}k\text{)}}{\text{d}T}$$, where $$R$$ is the @G02579@ and $$T$$ the @T06321@. The term is also used for @T06366@ in electronic potential surfaces, in which case the term requires careful definition.
