magnetic susceptibility

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.MT06781
For @P04404@ materials, the magnetic susceptibility may be measured experimentally and used to give information on the molecular magnetic @D01761@, and hence on the electronic structure of the molecules in the material. The @P04404@ contribution to the molar magnetic susceptibility of a material, \(\chi \), is related to the molecular magnetic @D01761@ \(m\) by the @C01444@ relation: \(\chi = \frac{\text{constant x}\ m^{2}}{T}\).
