Given by \[\chi ^{\beta} = \mathit{\Phi }^{\beta} - \psi ^{\beta}\] where \(\psi ^{\beta }\) and \(\mathit{\Phi} ^{\beta}\) are the outer and inner electric potentials of phase β, respectively.
