If the temperature @[email protected] of the rate of @[email protected] is substantial, an adsorption process is said to be activated (i.e. to have a significant @[email protected]). In this case, the @[email protected] is small. In general, the @[email protected] energy of activated adsorption is a function of coverage and it usually increases with increasing coverage.
