For strongly adsorbed solutes of limited @[email protected], the value of the amount of adsorbed substance reached in a @[email protected] is called the adsorption capacity of the @[email protected] for a specific solute; its value depends also, in general, on the nature and, in the case of more than two components, on the relative composition of the bulk liquid.
