Species, usually transient, derived formally by the @[email protected] of a hydrogen atom from each of two ring atoms of an @[email protected] The name for specific compounds requires the numerical prefix di-. E.g. 1,8-didehydronaphthalene or naphthalene-1,8-diyl.
