The reverse of @[email protected]: the drying of a @[email protected] solution when the vapour pressure of water in the @[email protected] of a substance is greater than the @[email protected] of water in the ambient air. Also refers to the loss of water of @[email protected] from a solid @[email protected] such as Na2CO3·10H2O.
