enzyme induction

in general chemistry
The process whereby an (inducible) enzyme is synthesized in response to a specific molecule (cf. @I03017@).The inducer molecule (often a @S06083@ that needs the catalytic activity of the inducible enzyme for its @M03858@) combines with a @R05304@ and thereby prevents the blocking of an @O04300@ by the repressor.
