limiting current

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.L03532
The limiting value of a @F02321@ that is approached as the rate of the charge-transfer process is increased by varying the potential. It is independent of the @A00424@ over a finite range, and is usually evaluated by subtracting the appropriate @R05311@ from the measured total current. A limiting current may have the character of an @A00159@, @C00889@, @D01722@, or @K03399@, and may include a @M03921@.
