A fluid which percolates through or along the stationary bed, in a definite direction. It may be a liquid (@[email protected]) or a gas (@[email protected]) or a @[email protected] (@[email protected]). In gas @[email protected] the expression @[email protected] may be used for the mobile phase. In @[email protected] the expression '@[email protected]' is also used for the mobile phase.
