From a phenomenological point of view, the term has been used to describe long-lived @[email protected] In mechanistic @[email protected], the term designates @[email protected] involving change in spin multiplicity, typically from triplet to singlet or vice versa. The @[email protected] from a @[email protected] to a @[email protected] is also phosphorescence.
