Any technique which is based on the @[email protected] of high energy electrons (\(E_{0} = 10-200\ \text{keV}\)) in crystalline materials and evaluation of the @[email protected] of the transmitted electrons. The @[email protected] pattern represents an image of the reciprocal lattice and therefore contains information about crystal structure. This technique is also often called selected area electron @[email protected] (SAED). For @[email protected] with other electron @[email protected] techniques, however, the term THEED is recommended.
