A diagram designed to show the distribution of wind direction experienced at a given location over a considerable period of time. Usually shown in polar coordinates (distance from the origin being proportional to the @P04855@ of the wind direction being at the given @A00346@ usually measured from the north). Similar diagrams are sometimes used to summarize the average concentrations of a given pollutant seen over a considerable period of time as a function of direction from a given site (sometimes called a pollution rose).
