Ratio expressing the efficiency of a mass conversion process. The yield @[email protected] is defined as the amount of cell mass (\(\mathrm{kg}\)) or product formed (\(\mathrm{kg}\),\(\mathrm{mol}\)) related to the consumed @[email protected] (carbon or nitrogen source or oxygen in \(\mathrm{kg}\) or \(\mathrm{moles}\)) or to the intracellular ATP production (\(\mathrm{moles}\)).
