Ratio expressing the efficiency of a mass conversion process. The yield @C01124@ is defined as the amount of cell mass (\(\mathrm{kg}\)) or product formed (\(\mathrm{kg}\),\(\mathrm{mol}\)) related to the consumed @S06083@ (carbon or nitrogen source or oxygen in \(\mathrm{kg}\) or \(\mathrm{moles}\)) or to the intracellular ATP production (\(\mathrm{moles}\)).
