electrophilicity

https://doi.org/10.1351/goldbook.E02021
  1. The property of being electrophilic (see @E02020@).
  2. The relative reactivity of an electrophilic @R05190@. (It is also sometimes referred to as 'electrophilic @P04792@'.) Qualitatively, the concept is related to @L03509@. However, whereas @L03509@ is measured by relative equilibrium constants, electrophilicity is measured by relative @R05138@ for reactions of different electrophilic reagents towards a common @S06082@ (usually involving attack at a carbon atom).
